Latvia

A country in the north of Europe that borders Russia, Lithuania, Estonia, Belarus and Baltic sea. With a population of 2,200,000 and an area of 65000 square meters, Latvia is considered one of the smaller countries of Europe. They only have 21000 teams in PPM, but they have more than 500 teams in Basketball and are one of the powerful teams in this sport. This team, with its players and superstars, powerfully qualified as the group winner for the final round of World Cup with 14 points among Netherlands, Finland, Sweden and Norway. We have to wait and see if Oskars Vīksna can make this small country proud in this sport, considering that they are in the same group with Slovakia, China, Serbia, Argentina and Turkey.
Although there were some superstars like Teobalds Pilavs, Nigmunds "Kobe" Saderis & Ēriķis "Biedrs" Spolītis in Latvia's National team, Normunds Bratušs, who scored 87 points, was the most effective player of Latvia.
